So when it comes to Halloween I am one big scardy cat! I am not a horror movie fan so when it comes to scary its Hocus Pocus, pumpkin carving and lots of sweets for me! To get into the spirit of Halloween I made my annual trip to Maxey's farm shop in Newark to go and pick a pumpkin out of their field and OBVIOUSLY I made it my missions to find the biggest, most rounded, perfect stalk pumpkin I could! Yes, I did take longer than a normal person should take on choosing a pumpkin but if I didn't, without the horror movie marathon that's expected of your average 22 year old, how else could I celebrate!? Once I had finally made the decision (almost came home with 2 because I couldn't figure out which stalk I preferred, lame I know!) it was time to take it home and carve it! If choosing a pumpkin took a while, trying to carve it felt like a life time and I wasn't even trying to do anything complicated!! In the end my dad had to come to my rescue! Think I should just stick to eating my own body weight in Halloween sweets next time!
