I love makeup! I love everything about it! I love how much it can boost your confidence! I love how you can do you face up with all different colours! I just love it! Playing around with makeup is something I do every day without fail. I'm always looking at makeup Instagram accounts wishing I could be as skilled as them, they are always on fleek!
In no means am I an expert but I enjoy trying out new looks, even if some really don't suit me. The more I do my makeup I always find that I have the one go to look that I know I can do quickly and do it well. My go to look is always a brown smokey eye and nude lip look. It just works easily weather I'm going to work or if I'm going out. I've literally done it so much that I think I can get the whole face done in 10 minuets now, although I'm still always late to where ever I'm going because I spend more time singing into a hair brush than actually getting ready!
My routine for this look usually starts with my NYX First Base Primer Spray - £7, Boots. I then use MAC Studio Fix Fluid - £23.50 and I apply it with Glamher Booth oval brush set. After my foundations done I like to use Smashbox step-by-step contour sticks. This set comes with a contour stick, highlight stick and a bronzer stick. It also comes with a sharpener and a leaflet of how to apply the contour if you have never done so before for different face shapes. This kit usually costs about £29.50 however I buy mine from an outlet so costs £20 but with my loyalty card it goes down to £18 so a pretty good saving if you ask me. I use it to contour my cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin to give more definition to my face, if you can even call it that! Again I use Glamher Booth oval brush set to blend this. To set this to my face I use the MAC Studio Fix Press Powder - £23.50 which I use a Real Techniques brush to apply. Once my base is done I brush my brown - because I'm in the 1% of women left who don't draw on their eyebrows because they're just too bushy and dark for it to make any difference. So now it time to do my eyes, I completely use the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon's pallet - £35.10 and Real Technique brushes. I first put "Divinity" all over my lid, followed by "Mocha" on my crease and blend it up towards my brow. I then take "Bordeaux" and blend it into my crease. To finish it off I use "Malted" to blend out of my eye and darken the outer part. Then I apply my mascara and wing my eyeliner. I then use my Revolution highlight pallet to give myself a bit of a glow. I apply this to my cheek bones, nose, under my browns and I also put it on my lips as it makes them appear bigger. To finish my look I use NYX Lingerie lipstick colour "Push Up" - £7, Boots. Once I've finished I like to use NYX Setting Spray - Matte Finish/Long Lasting - £7, Boots. For me it's one of the better ones I have used and it's a decent price.
So this is the finished look...
