Merlot and Mayfair

So I recently bought some Helen é cosmetics and have been dying to try them out so whats better than using them when you have nothing to do and no where to go? Probably using them when you do have something to do and somewhere to go but I'm impatient so I have a full face sat in bed watching a film but I feel good so that's all that matters right?

I bought 3 glitters and a lipstick because I don't have enough of either. Okay that's a lie but they're pretty so who can blame me?

There were so many colours and if I had an unlimited supply of money (which for some reason I keep thinking I have) I'd of bought ever single colour but the glitters were 3 for £10 so after some hard deliberation I went for Peacock, Sticky Toffee and Merlot.

The lipstick really reminds me of Kylie Jenner lip kits which is something I really like because I love a matte long lasting colour and let me tell you this lipstick doesn't move all day! It comes with a lip liner and the lip cream. Usually I stick to nude colours just because personally I don't think I can carry off bright lipsticks really well, I just don't have thick enough lips to really make them pop but I went out my comfort zone and went for Mayfair which is bright but dark enough for me to not feel like my lips are getting all the attention! The lipstick was also £10.

So as they were the closest colours that compliment each other I decided to try out a Merlot glitter and Mayfair lipstick look just to get a feel for the products. As these are the only Helen é products I own (so far) I have used other products to create this look. I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon pallet on my eyes to create a smokey look using the colours Mocha, Bordeaux and Dark Truffle then from the tear duct to just over the centre of my eye lid I used the Merlot glitter to give them a subtle pop that blends in with the other colours. Then on my lips I used the Mayfair lipstick.

I'm looking forward to trying out the other colours and creating more looks especially using the peacock blue! There will be other blog posts to follow on them so if you don't want to miss out either go to the about me page and subscribe or follow me on Instagram @molliejadeyy
